Dental Implants
Dr. Leonard Gordon is a nationally sought-after speaker who lectures and holds seminars for dentists to instruct them in the correct way to put crowns or full sets of teeth on implants.
Improper placement of crowns on implants has an 80% failure rate. Properly restored dental implants at Gordon Center have a 98-99% success rate. Drs. Leonard and David Gordon only use FDA approved implants and parts, which is considered above the standard of care. (Some dentists use non-FDA approved implants and parts.)
Dental implants are machine milled titanium “screws” that are placed into the space where a tooth has been removed. This artificial root will then be used, after healing, to place a post into and a crown on top.
Dental implants can support single or multiple crowns. They can hold full dentures down with special types of snaps or attachments. They can also hold a full set of new teeth firmly in place with tiny screws. These new teeth look and function like beautiful natural teeth.
Drs. Leonard and David Gordon use Van Hook Dental Studio for their crowns, bridges, full and partial dentures. All materials and workmanship are certified and guaranteed made and processed in the USA. (Some dentists charge the same fee yet will have their crowns made outside the USA in places like China or Mexico in order to make more money.)
An implant is superior to a bridge because it doesn’t rely on other teeth for its success. A dental implant is free standing, whereas a bridge rests on the teeth on either side of the gap. If either of the bridge abutments fail in the future, you then lose the entire bridge which means you have a much larger gap to fill (at least three teeth) with dental implants.
Implant Crowns
Implant crowns take a special skillset to be done properly. Improperly placed cementing can lead the implant to fail, causing pain and necessitating removal. (The literature says that implants can fail up to nine years after placement if a crown is improperly cemented on an implant post abutment.)
Dr. Leonard Gordon lectures nationally to dentists on the proper way to place implant crowns. Dr. David Gordon uses these same techniques to ensure that both the gum and the implant crown are healthy, beautiful, and long lasting.
In addition, the Doctors Gordon are familiar with a range of porcelains and methods to hold the crowns onto the implants to give the implant crown the strongest, most natural look.
Implant Bridges
If you are missing a tooth but have a healthy tooth or dental implant on either side, an implant bridge is a great option. Bridges are custom, lab-made crowns that are splinted together and cemented over natural teeth or screwed down into implants. These splinted crowns “bridge” the gap areas where teeth are missing. (Pontic teeth replace the missing teeth areas.)
Bridges are never taken out: They function with the same chewing force as natural teeth, so you can eat everything you are used to. They look and feel like natural teeth.
All-on-4
The All-on-4 dental implant procedure (also referred to as full mouth implants or teeth in a day) is a registered technique for Nobel BioCare that allows teeth to be extracted, implants placed, and new teeth to be screwed in the same day.
This teeth in a day, full mouth implant procedure must be carefully planned to be properly done. Drs. Leonard and David Gordon restore the most amount of these cases in a private practice setting in the Washington, D.C.; Maryland; and Virginia area per year. They have a 98% success rate with dental implants. Moreover, at Gordon Center, we only use FDA-approved dental implants and parts.

Get the smile you’ve been hoping for!
Unfortunately, not all dental implants are created equal, which is a reality you may be facing right now. It could be that crown teeth on top of the implants you received elsewhere were improperly placed (leading to an 80% failure rate), or dental implants or parts that were not FDA-approved, or installed by a dentist with limited experience. Because of this, they’re chipped, worn, and don’t have the look and use you expected when you excitedly signed on for a dental implant or all-on-4 dental implant procedure.
Not to mention, there are new materials that are more durable, stain resistant, and beautiful than what was available five years ago.
Dr. David Gordon and Dr. Leonard Gordon’s properly restored dental implants have a 98-99% success rate. Drs. Leonard and David Gordon only use FDA approved implants and parts, which is considered above the standard of care.
